Car stalls out, idles awkward..
2001 - 147k on it.
I did adjust the throttle cable before just to be a little bit tighter for a little more response, but I'm not too sure that it had much to do with this but it seems like after I did so the following started occurring more often.
During daily driving, normally this occurs during stop and go traffic or if I need to slow real fast..
My RPMs will drop until the car falls on its face, it'll restart back up without an issue and sometimes the idle isn't normal until it revs itself up seeming to correct the issue itself.
I've heard plenty of people have experienced this, and have been told me not to be alarmed because sometimes its the ECU 'learning' since it went from winter to 60+ degrees out and that it could be the IACV needing cleaning or map sensor.
Anyone have any ideas, I know there are a few post around here that seem to have the same issues but as I've said before its a little harder to search IMO on the new layout..

definitely try a map whack or cleaning, and a cleaning of the idle air control valve, I would do both of them at the same time. I don't know if the throttle cable has caused the issue but it shouldn't be overly tight, you don't get better response by tightening the cable, it might be confusing the pcm if it was tightened too much. You need to maintain a bit of deflection on the cable at closing of the throttle plate.
Also, if you haven't adjusted the valves, you may need that done.
I had the same problem, and that improved it. Also whacked and cleaned the MAP sensor, too.
Still shudders slightly, sometimes, but doesn't almost stall out anymore.

did you check your air filter? lol.... that was my problem it fixed it knock on wood... i replaced my map sensor did the map wack and also reset my ecu and let it relearn w/e it had to by following all the steps. ohh i also cleaned out my iac valve and checked the voltage on my tps.... it ended up being my damn air filter... i know it may sound stupid and i still think im a dumbass for not checking it, but thats what mine ended up being lol..... i have a brand new map sensor if you want that i could sell you for 35 shipped... and i'll even throw in my old oem one that has 70k on it for free.
