Default Exhaust and valve adjustment done

I installed my Comptech exhaust, changed my plugs, and adjusted 4 valves today.

Car runs like a top, no more tapping! All 16 valves were examined, the retainers and keepers are pretty flush and plainly visible on all of them

I torqued the new plugs to 18 lb-ft, and the cover bolts to 8.7 lb-ft.

MY02, 72K miles

Here's the head...looks great to me, can't see any sludge on it. All 4 pistons were silver, too.

How do my plugs look? Image may not be clear, but all electrodes are there, and gap is pretty much the same on all of them.

One problem, though.

When turning the crank, I broke the little air hose off a pump-looking thing right below the airbox. The hose has suction, going into the intake manifold. No CELs after a good bit of driving? Is this a big deal? I have a SOS S/C coming in 2 weeks or so, and I think this part gets chucked in that anyway?

that hose feeds the air pump system, I'd fix it if you can as it will suck unfiltered air, unless you close off the system altogether like some guys do when running boost or aftermarket intakes.

Thanks,

I will be running boost pretty soon, and if that part stays on the car, I'll find a way to fix it or replace it.

Ah, well, tripped a CEL. Car runs great, so I doubt it's anything related to the valve adjustment.

I'll try some glue to put that hose back on, and/or get a scan done tomorrow for the code.

Even if I can't fix it, it's a $15 part
