Default Car won't engage VTEC

Okay guys,

I was trying to disassemble my intake manifold but got stuck on a 14mm lower bolt so I put everything back together, I torqued all the bolts to OEM spec and used thread locker. I reused the crush washers on the fuel rail, but they are flipped and I don't see any leaking after driving for 20 min or so.

It is raining today (very lightly) and I have a AEM CAI.

The engine was warmed up and it drives fine under VTEC engagement point.

I took it ont the highway and right when I hit VTEC I hear a dronning bogging sound and it car wouldn't move. So I tried it again and the yellow light came on for about 15 seconds and after I dropped rpms it disappeared.

There's no smoke coming out of the exhaust, and since I drove to work I couldn't check the oil levels.

Any insight into this or some extras I should check?

- Eugene

No scan tool, I'll swing by an Autozone or NAPA during lunch.

Before you get flamed, it is VTEC. No H needed. Good luck with the fix.

Well I found out Napa won't do scans for me, can I go to a Honda dealer to get a free scan?

You probably have some water in your intake. Take it off, clean it, and let it dry. I had this happen to me before. I have the V2.

I have the V2 as well, I'm guessing that's the case as well.
