Default Casting Marks Or Cracked Differential Housing?

Got my car up on Jack stands because I'm about to do the 4.57 gear swap. Before I even got started, I notice these minor cracks around the housing that I'm not sure of. Just ignore the oil stains and drippies b/c i didn't clean up after changing out the fluid. SO....

Are these cracks a sign of premature diff failuer, or are these just casting marks???
Is this something that can be covered under warrenty, cuz I'm s/c'ed ? Even so, I hear so many stories that the diff is crap on the 'S'

What do you guys think??? Please help

Thanks,

Philip D.

Those are casting marks as stated. I removed some of them when I polished my pumpkin.

Also that is just the cover, it just holds the oil in and the dirt out.
