Default Catalyst DTC won't ready

Hi all,

I can't get my catalyst DTC to ready for smog after disconnecting the battery. Details: 2006, 58,000 miles, stock cat, Flashpro (has passed smog on this exact tune/hardware before). Never had a code thrown.

Over the course of 1000 miles I've tried: numerous cold starts and warm starts, hold in neutral at 2000 RPM until at least 1/4 warm, stop and go for 10 minutes with periods of coasting in gear, long periods of 55-60 MPH with steady throttle in 5th, endless cruising at 80, a day of track driving, 4 tanks of gas.

I'm at a complete loss. Considering disconnecting the battery and trying again. My tags are expired but I can't smog the car until this thing readies itself.

No stored CELs? The car has working front and rear O2 sensors?

return the ECU to stock. I had this exact problem and it worked when i removed the flashpro. I believe hondata did some recent firmware changes which prevents the Catalytic readiness from setting. I set the cat readiness in 10 minutes, with the ECU in stock configuration

There is a post under Engine Management somewhere that states everything that you need to do to get it to ready status.
I think it is this one but I am to lazy to read through all the pages https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-en...shpro-1094009/

I finally had to update the Flashpro firmware and flash back to stock, then I was able to get the catalyst to ready by driving it around for 45 minutes in a mix of highway, city and canyon. Thank god I was finally able to get it smogged. Thanks everyone for your help.

I never attempted to get everything ready without returning FlashPro back to stock, but didn't have any trouble doing it when I flashed back to stock and followed the standard procedure. Good to know that it does need to be put back to stock to clear it though.

What's weird is I passed smog two years ago with the exact same old firmware and custom tune that I couldn't get to ready this time. But in that case the battery hadn't been disconnected in a long long time, so perhaps it just takes much longer to ready with a custom tune. Who knows. Anyway, from now on I'll just use the stock tune for smog since that did the trick.
