Hello S2Ki,
I am running into a bit of a problem with my car, '07 S2k. Just to give a quick history, the car's CEL came on when it had 47,xxx miles. I scanned it and got the code P0139 (slow response 02 sensor, secondary). Honda replaced it for free under the 50K powertrain warranty. So I was a happy camper after that.
Now fast forward to 52,xxx miles and the CEL came on again. I scanned it and got the same code again. Did anyone else experience this? I am not worried about it since Honda will replace the part for free (part came with a 1 year -12K mile warranty). I have since reset the code to see if it does come back within a few drive cycles. My guess is that the CEL will come back if the malfunction is indeed valid. I'll find out soon enough. Anyway, my concern is there might be something else triggering the 02 sensor to fail. Why would the new 02 sensor fail so quickly after only 5,xxx miles? Any thoughts?
I do not have an aftermarket exhaust now but i did have an HKS from 10K to 30K miles.
Thanks for reading and I appreciate any feedback.

PS. I tried the search and it was down so I decided to write this up.

thanks for the input guys. so far, the CEL has not come on after 4 drive cycles so i'll leave it alone. hopefully if it does come on, it's within the next 7,xxx miles so i can get it replaced by the dealership for free. :-)
