Default CEL P0600: Multiplex control system error

Hey guys,
I would google some more but I'm in the middle of a road trip and I got a CEL.
The CEL is P0600 and the autozone printout says it is a multiplex control system error. I have no clue what this is.
Thanks.

Autozone's scanner can't define the code correctly.

Google isn't helping much with this one. I keep getting references to "Serial Communication Link Malfunction." Is that the OBDII connector or something?

Take it to a shop that can define the DTC correctly.

P0600 Serial Communication Link Malfunction. This code is usually assorted with communication between ecu's. If you can get a hold of a scanner see what ecu's are not assessable. In example engine, abs or air bag computers. usually the one with no communications is the problem. You may or may not receive a second code that my point to the ecu with the problem. Or you could just have a blown fuse.

My CEL threw a P0600 too. It happened when I was in the last hour of a 6 hour drive. A google search says P0600 is a serial communication link failure. Furthermore some more searches revealed that other S2k members have received this CEL. Apparently it's due to a bug in the ECU software - the ECU throws a P0600 when the ignition is on for 4 or more hours. Weird!

Read this:
P0600 Problem

How did you resolve this issue? Anyway for the dealerships to fix this? I have HondaCare.

FYI: P0600 = Multiplex Control System Troubleshooting
per Honda Service Bulletin 03-020 (all models except Honda Passport)
so Autozone is not that far off
