ceramic vs stainless headers
Pro's and Cons anyone?
Which is better? Any body that has a DC Sports Header please let me know what you think!
optauto.com has ceramic dc sports 4-2-1 header for 320.00 and 400.00 stainless. These both seem to be damn good prices.
Spoon and Comptech are high $$. Is it worth it?
Ceramic should have higher temp tolerances and won't rust so why not?
any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ceramic is lighter, Stainless is heavier but last longer in theory. That's about it. I'd go for the ceramic, cheaper and lighter. I wouldn't buy any header untill there have been consistent third-party dyno results that show the benefits. DC Sports nonetheless is known to make some of the best headers..
The headers on our cars are designed very well from the factorr, the gains from expensive headers like Mugen have been minimal such as 1-2 hp. The "biggest" gain is reduction in weight.
Not necessarily poor design, it's just hard to beat a very well designed header (eg Honda S2000 header)

weight, exit flow of exhaust and under the hood temperature are suppose to be factors along with more power. Ceramic should be able to dissipate heat better that is just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
Does anyone know the weight difference?
I just can't see spending 1200+ for a spoon header. What is this titanium alloy?
