if you have a aftermarket intake like a aem, there are 2 hoses that connect to it... one hose goes to the nipple fitting off the valve cover and a bigger hose comes from the bottom right side that connects to the intake... this is the hose that i'm confused on what it is and what it does.... i think it has a braided steel connection on the bottom of it.. can anyone help with IDing this?

 

The hose in question supplies filtered air for the secondary air injection pump that is located behind the fake airduct on the driver's side.
