Default CF Hood Fitment

Hi guys, after a bit of advise.

I have just fit a Seibon Mugen style hood. The quality is great and the fitment is good in terms of its symetrical position, however on the drivers side (UK) the hood is raised a few mm from the level of the bodywork. See pictures:

Has anyone else had this problem, any solutions? I am pretty sure that nothing is stopping the hood, as when I press down it will easily move to the level of the body.....

Thanks in advance
Marc

maybe a stupid question, but can it be unwarped? I really don't want to have to ship it back to the US.....

That's going to be a tough one. It's a layered construction and one layer has cured more rapidly than another layer, causing the warp. I don't know how you could "uncure" it.

the warp is a tough issue. most cf hoods will move some with the contraction of heat, sun & cold, it won't move much. try to exchange it...... good luck

This is probably a stupid suggestion.....but as a last resort could you not use those rally type hood bolts?Just a thought

try to loosen the bolts on the hood latch. you can actually move it around... lower the left side and tighten the bolts....

it should work

Looking at some others it seem people mount these at the front of the car. It is an option but I would need to look where I can mount them to have any effect....
