not sure if this is the proper spot to post this question, but i saw the cf hood forsale at a speed shop near me for an s2k. it looks like good quality but not sure. i think either fiber works or carbon works makes it not sure what the name was. the underside looks clean as hell, its like one peice suport and its clear coated giving it a gloss to it. my question is when u look threw the hole where the latch hook is u can see right threw the cf weave. is this normal?? it was also sprayed with fiberglass it looks like. also the hood seems very thing just buy being able to see light threw it and also u can push down on it very easily unlike other style hoods ive felt.

 

Sounds like a grade quality that you need to confirm. First find out who makes it and also confirm that it has rolled edges or if it's a straight edge.

If it's wet Carbon then it's layed across fiberglass, plastic or whatever they want to lay it across..

i8 know its grade a but whats the diff betweeen A and AA? i thin carbon works makes the hood. the place is being shady on giving me info

 

vis racing makes the carbon works hoods.

 

are they realy easily bendable?? do u have a pic u can show me of the under side?

 

meaning can u push down on the cf and see it bend easy sorta like the stock hood does? but alot easier?

 

ok a found out the hood is from aerotrends.com anyone buy stuff from these people or heard anything about them?

 

Did you try contacting them?..... some of the hoods have a VIS badge on them.

Do a search for VIS and decide it they have what you want.

 

theres no badge on it just a stamp with some numbers on it
