changing oil.
Unless you've taken your engine apart and examined the moving parts, you don't know whether the Fram is working or not.
I've read enough about Fram being cheaper, not nearly as good. For a couple of bucks, I put the OEM filter in.
YMMV

Billman says the PCX OEM Honda filter actually compresses the rubber to the point the metal to metal contact should happen. You'll need the torque wrench for sure and I think it is 16 ft-lbs. You just cant do this one by hand like most cars. Some have gotten away with it. They're lucky too.
Do properly torque it..... and torque (33ftlbs) and safety wire the drain bolt. Now you're done.

Fram is crap. If you owned another Honda (that uses other than the S2000 OEM PCX filter), I'd recommend using an Amsoil or Mobil 1 filter because Fram makes (or used to make) all other OEM filters for Honda.
Go to the Technical forum under the UTH, and then to the Oil Journals. There's a lot of info including photos that will convince you NEVER to use any Fram product EVER again.
They use card board end caps, low quality filter media and other garbage that simply will not hold up to anything the S2000 will throw at the filter.
Now... if you use a quality filter such as an Amsoil or Mobil 1 - MAKE SURE IT'S TORQUED ON properly (and check it periodically!). There have been several threads written about engines ruined using Mobil 1 filters on the track, that backed off and quickly drained oil before the engine could be saved.
The best bet is to use the OEM PCX filter. There has not been one claim of failure to date.
Good luck getting a torque wrench on an oil filter. Unless you're a caveman (no calls from the Geico caveman please), linebacker for the Broncos or a limp-wristed "gentle-fellow" (that's on the other end of the spectrum for those confused) -- hand tight is A-OK. Give it a good old fashioned manly twist to the stop, and it will be ship-shape.

I am reading 18 ft.lb of torque to tighten it and I KNOW I can do a lot more than that with my hand. I was just curious because people seemed in this thread to give a lot of heat for hand tightening.
I have worked in shops + on my own vehicle and have ALWAYS hand tightened. With tools you can apply too much force and damage the filter if you go too hard.
If you can open a tough pickle jar, you can tighten an oil filter.
Granny wrists need not apply.
If you find you don't have the strength.. fap more. Build those wrist muscles!
ill agree but disagree, fram doesnt make the oem filter for s2000. nor does the original manafacture. thats beside the point, fram does indeed suck big time. i wont even put that on my girlfriends ford focus. i only use oem....... and hand tighten it, to much disregard till i cant tighten it with my hand anymore. granted its not much further than the 7/8th turn once the gasket hits. never had any problem and probably never will. ultimatly the choice is yours. do you love your car enough to put the extra money into the blood line of the car or not?
