Changing original oil

When can I change my original motor oil to Mobil 1?
On my first oil change or at a certain mile?

I'd wait until at least the second change (8-10k mi). Give the rings time to seat and let the engine get broken in before switching to the synthetic.

Mobil 1 Conventional or Mobile 1 Synthetic?

I did my first oil change to Mobil 1 Conventional around 4k miles. And just like PellisS2k mentioned, I'd wait until 10-12k before you switch to Mobil 1 Synthetic.

I thought there's only one kind of Mobil 1 which is synthetic. Mobil also makes conventional oil, but it isn't called Mobil 1. I think they call it "Mobil Drive Clean" oil.
