Check Engine Light ?
Hey whats up everybody, I seem to be having a little problem with my car for the past 3 weeks its check engine light has been coming on after Honda resets it my car is again at the dealer (4 time this month) today and all I get from them is that nothing is wrong that its a false "evap" code whatever that means ? Has anybody had a problem like this ?
You might want to get the actual ECU CODE the next time you take it to the dealer. I can't believe that they are clearing the code and sending you out. Eventually, something is going to be affected. Try and document each visit with your dealer if you can. You might need it when something goes wrong and they blame you for not getting it fixed earlier.
PS. Do a search on "check AND engine" for more info.
Here's one
Evaporator Code (again)

No need to return to the dealer........
The heater control panel has a self diagnostic function:
1) Set the mode control dial to the vent position
2) Turn the ignition switch ON (II)
3) Within 5 seconds of turning the ignition switch on, press the recirculation control switch (This switch has a car with a circular arrow and a small light on it to the right of the steering wheel) the required number of times depending on the recirculation light status.
A) If the indicator light is ON, press the recirculation control 5
times.
B) If the indicator light is OFF press the recircualtion control
6 times.
The recirculation light will come on for 2 seconds, the blink the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) to indicate a faulty component. If no DTC's are found, the indicator light will not blink after the initial 2 second light.
Run this test and I'll tell you what you need to replace......
