Default check engine light

2006 S2000, bought in 2009 with 25k miles. : The check engine "wrench" is lit and some text that says 15% oil life. I have the oil changed every year (approx 5k miles). Is this telling me that the service interval moniter thinks it's time for a service? How do I clear the message and cancel the "wrench"? Car didn't come with an owners manual.

The wrench sign means it's time for a scheduled routine maintanance. If you have an OM, look at what may be required @ 25k. Simply changing the oil and filter and doing the reset may be all thats required.

Thank you. Guess I'd better get an owners manuel.

Reset on 2006-2009:

-key on
- hit trip button till your "oil life %" is show
-hold trip down. the percentage will eventually begin to flash
-RELEASE trip for one second, then hold down again
-continue holding until "oil life 100%" is shown.
