Ok, here's the deal, my car has been throwing the Code P0441 lately, which I got checked at Autozone, said that it was the Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction. Is this the air pump? If so what exactly does malfunction mean? The motor has been replaced by my friend an i, so we may have forgot to connect the plug or something, i don't know, any pointers?


Second just recently my SRS light came on, is there any way for me to check why this code is being thrown without having to suck it up and take it to the dealer, my car is out of warrenty so i'm trying to diagnose it myself.

i believe that is the loose gas cap CEL if im not mistaken. check if you screwed on your gas cap till it clicks

 

This code is an EVAP incorrect purge flow problem. Gas cap will not cause this code.

 

I must be thinking of the wrong code then.

Have you checked if your secondary air pump is working? I remember I had a simular problem with the secondary air pump but I dont recal the CEL it threw.
