obviously its telling me to check the as cap, which i have done. i have also since filled up on gas on the same thing still. car seems to be running fine. any idea what has happened? the cars is an 08 could the cap really be bad?

any opinions are very much appreciated

 

happened to me once
it just randomly started flashing on the cluster, so I pulled over and shut the car off. Checked the cap and turned the car on, still flashed. I drove home and it did it for another day then the next day it wasnt on next time i drove it, idk what it was also
hasnt done it since though

 

As Justin said, same happened to me. After driving a day or two, it will go out. The initial cause really was a loose cap but once tightened, it will eventually correct itself.

 

You may have a pressure problem. Is the cap is good working order? Any cracks?

 

This happens to almost all s2000's. Mine has done it maybe 5 times since I have owned it (a little over 2 years) and I daily drive mine. Just take the gas cap back off, re-tighten it and you will be fine.
