Can anyone recommend after-market chipsets/electronics for increased performance and/or varying performance characteristics?

Do a search under ECU and you should find hundreds of threads. Mugen & Spoon are two of the companies that make aftermarket ECUs. No chips to change but rather the whole ECU is swapped out.
