Default Cleaning injectors

My car just broke 90k miles last night... ive owned it for 20k of those miles. I'm fairly certain the injectors have never been cleaned so I was thinking of doing it. Is it a good idea, ive heard "Things" that people have messed their cars up after doing it, so im sure it helps to use something that is good and not half assed. Any recommendations?

don't know what it is called but 3m makes a product line of injector cleaners marketed towards repair shops rather than individuals that I have heard does a fantastic job from some people I trust. You hook the cans up to the fuel line and run the car off of the can of cleaner for a bit, hook the fuel line back up and you're good to go as I understand it.

Otherwise bottle of Techron concentrate from Target do a so-so job but it is thought by many to be the best "pour in the tank" solution.
