Default Click/pop when decelerating?

Hey guys, tonight I took her for a drive, I recently got the clutch master AND slave cylinders replaced, clutch fluid flushed/changed, manual trans and rear diff fluid changed as well. All was nice.

But, tonight I was driving around, and I noticed that around town (not highway speeds), when I'm in gear but not giving gas, AKA decelerating, I hear a random "click" or pop, kinda comes and goes. Really noticeable when I'm almost coming to a stop, low speeds. Haven't noticed it on the highway yet.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks in advance, love you guys.

2005 AP2 btw, 107K miles on her.

Where does the noise sound like it originates from?

As far as the components you had serviced, there surprisingly aren't many moving parts with the clutch assembly, the slave cylinder has a small rod that presses against the clutch release fork that could make some noise. It would be prominent right underneath the front center console or below right knee. Mine made a faint clicking sound on deceleration as the ball of the rod wasn't smooth anymore and when releasing the clutch is would click as the rod released, when I rebuilt the slave cylinder I sanded a small protruding top spot which made my noise go away.

Does it happen right after letting off the gas or just some random time after that? Or right as you let out the clutch?

Mine was clicking right as I let out the clutch on deceleration, it was not clicking on acceleration when the clutch was cycled FWIW. It did not seem to be effected by throttle I was pushing, little gas or heavy foot, my clicking was the same.

If it was due to the wear on the slave cylinder that would make sense. I could never hear it at all when mine wore but definitely felt it until I fixed it.

Tracking down click/popping in general can be aggravating/difficult since sounds can bounce around and reference from other areas in these tiny engine bays. Starting with what was recently touched under the hood is where I always start, but it could be all sorts of things. A video or clip of the sound will certainly help. Last bit I can say from recently servicing the master/slave combo, after the slave had new grease and the fluids were properly bled (air removed), it was much tighter against the release fork and way more responsive.

My 2000 AP1 makes a click/pop that I associate with the Torsen differential, but I'm pretty sure it's only when accelerating and when not steering perfectly straight ahead.

The replies to this thread seem to be suggesting something completely different, so I'm not sure how to tell what you're hearing.
