Default Clicking Noise

Took it to a mechanic and he heard the clicking noise and he said it was my timing belt so I had it replaced I purchased dealer parts and now that it has been replaced the car won't start??? everything was put back in to place. Timing has been checked and is set right. replaced the battery nothing new. Ran the codes and it said the crank position sensor. replaced that and car still won't start. It cranks but wont start. anyone had this problem or anywhere I can get it fixed besides the dealer i stay in whittier 20 min from down town. please help

Sory the chain was replaced other than the rest of the stuff... They think it's the ecu that needs to be replaced. So I am hoping thats the problem just so it can start again.

Doubt it is the ECU. My guess would be incorrect timing. If it's even a couple teeth off it will not start. I know you said you checked the timing, but I'd check again.

I also have a clicking noise coming from the rear, but only when I'm in gear. The clicking started one morning with a single click, and now its 4-10 clicks when I'm accelerating and if I step on the clutch it goes away. I also notice a scratching/rubbing noise from the rear when I'm traveling at high speeds and the gas pedal is pressed about 1/2 inch in for maintaining speed. If i release pedal fully it goes away... I'm lost as you are. At first, I thought it was the axle so I retighten it to the 2 o'clock position but it still clicks.

Are these the same symptoms you are having too?

yeah I completely disregarded the clicking noise in the beginning and thought it was something small just slightly hitting, i was wrong. Sgtb ^ was right, it was my TCT! I would really consider replacing it it's not expensive and u can do it yourself I did it yesterday and car is running beautifully! If you check on the Articles the first blog is about the TCT ur luck check it out it tells u step by step if you pan on replacing it. thanks fellas
