Default Clicking noise coming from rear of car

So Ive been having a problem lately that I've putting off for awhile.

Basically sometimes when I start from a stop, and always when I start moving forwards after backing up (like backing out of a parking spot) maybe a second or so after the car starts moving forwards there will be this relatively loud *CLICK* noise. It was really quiet before and it's getting louder now so I decided to investigate it. I thought it might just be the drive shaft clunking since it has some play in it, but sometimes it will happen after I've already started moving for a second or two, so the driveshaft should be locked under load correct?

Have you re-torqued the rear axle nuts? Do a search and give it a shot. Easy...

I've been having the same problem...retightened the axle nut and its still there! Now I'm thinking it might have to do with the diff...the noise I hear is more of a popping noise instead of clicks...anyone have any other ideas??

Changed my diff oil and cured me. Not suggesting it will guarantee a fix for you but worth a shot for minimal cost if it hasn't been replaced in a while.

It's most definitely the axle nuts. Check out the DIY and follow it exactly. I had this same problem a few months ago and the tightening cure it instantly.

You have to super tighten axle nuts, not just to"spec".

I might have a similar issue. I'm thiking it's the axles. swap them and you should be good.

I'm not in a rush to try to fix them, when I do I will try to post up what happens
