Default Clicking in the Rear...CV Joint?

Hi all,

I started hearing this clicking in the rear of the car after I put on my 17" TE-37s. It seems to be getting worse now. When I first get on the gas in first gear and start to accelerate from a stop, I hear a clicking in the rear. If I let off the gas fairly quick (around 3000 rpms) I rear another click. After reading some posts, it seems like the symptoms for a bad CB joint. I am having trouble finding rat's post about his CB joint which contained pictures...if anyone has that bookmarked please help me. Let me know what you guys think...does it sound like a bad CB joint? What else should I test to confirm it is a bad CB Joint? Has anyone successfully created aftermarket CB Joints for our car yet? Thanks in advance!

Use Search feature. Search using the following criteria:

Search "clicking" too, many threads on it. I think you have the same problem I did, theres a dealership news letter detailing what they need to do to fix it.

you might need the TSB done for the differential bolts, i had a similar problem that was solved after the TSB was performed.

the tsb is on the spindle nuts. they put new ones on with grease and re-torque. this only happens when shifting from R to 1 when stopped. if you are having a click when driving more then likely the inner cv joint has pitted and will need to be replaced.

save yourself $ and go to helminc.com and buy the service manual and go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and buy the cv axle from them.

so if when u go from R to 1 and it clicks a few times.

the fix is just a new axle nut torqued down to ???ft/lbs?

i'd do a search but the search seems to be broken, it gives me no results found even if i search for something as common as VOLKS
