Hello,

maybe you guys have answers.

When I start my car, or close my trunk...SOMETIMES, usually when the car is cold, I hear a *CLUNK* from what seems to be my exhaust...it sounds like metal banging...and it goes *CLUNK*....

Anybody know what this is?

Check all your attachment bolts. There are some on each end of the cat. Also check all the rubber hangers. Maybe one has dislodged or has broken. These may cause your exhaust system to hit something when the engine starts or when you slam the trunk.
Have you tried to grab the exhaust tips and give a few good wiggles?

i grabbed both exhausts and wiggles them...nice and sturdy. as to bolts and stuff...i'll take a look a that...very odd...

maybe i'll just take it to the dealership and have them do an inspection on the exhaust parts...

This is a wild guess ........................... make sure your spare tire is good and secured with the hold down fastener.

man, i got it this morning again when i started my car...*clunk *clunk.

annoying...sounds like an exhaust component...but i'll check the spare tire...
