My s2k is an '04 and whenever my car is idling or in low RPM my exhaust is making a rattling noise / leak. Once I start speeding up the noise will go away and comes back every time I stop. Does anyone have any idea what the causing this problem and if so how much am I looking at spending to have this fixed.

something could have broken in the muffler and is rattling around. but just buy a new exhaust for a couple hundred bucks and replace all the gaskets.... or just the muffler

 

time to upgrade, it may be god telling you to unleash 2whp from a cat delete and single exhaust

 

It's most likely the heat shield, either over the mid pipe or around the cat. The OEM exhaust is pretty well made with not many pieces internally that would rattle (that's why is so fricken heavy). Get under the car with it safely lifted and check it out.

 

my o2 censor were loose and making this noise.. check them out

 

My exhaust was also rattling, I took it to the shop last weekend and it was the O2 sensor coming loose.
