Default clutch

I was told that I can lower the play in my OEM clutch. Any truth to that? If so how can I do it?

Does a thread already exist on the subject?

By "play" do you mean the brief delay upon engagement. If so, there is a tread on replacing the the delay valve.

I had it with mine and I decided to do the swap. Hardtopguy sells the replacement kit.

I am not sure if that would do what I am asking. How do I describe what I mean? I have like 4 inches of space off the floor.... Shoot I can't put this into words.

I would like the clutch movement to be like 2-3 inches instead of 4-5. Is there a simple way to adjust it.

I think this is what he told me about. How do I do this? I am sorry about my ignorance.

there is a rod at the top of the clutch pedal ...you can adjust this rod in or out to adjust the engagement point of the clutch.. Use very small 1 turn adjustments then try it out.. You can also F*** up your clutch if you adjust it wrong so be careful and...Buy a helm manual..The steps for this are in there.

Thanks... I am not much of a mechanic, I better have someone do it for me. Do a lot of guys do this? Maybe I am barking up the wrong tree...
