Have your mechanic inspect it and decide then, whether to resurface or replace. Resurfacing usually adds a day to the fix.

FWIW, my mechanic did a great job on my clutch replacement. The action, friction point, and quiet feel has never been this good. I used all OEM parts.

When I read his post, I actually thought the complete opposite, lol. $800 from a Honda dealership?!?
Honda dealerships would usually charge much more than that for labor, probably around $1500-2000 or more.

$600-800 for clutch install labor is actually more inline with independent shops. Actually, just from calling around today, independent shops can charge a lot as well...

These are reputable and recommended shops too (within their respective communities):

Clutch-job, labor-only cost (I provide all parts):

Nissan specialist (S-chassis, Z, GTR, modded, but also versed with Honda & Toyota) in Laguna Hills = $1187.50 + $120 (resurfacing), 2day job.

Honda and nsx specialist = Called today and he was super busy & said call back next week. But, most friendly and honest guy I feel.
I remember he quoted me $600 for a clutch-job when I asked him about random services a couple years ago tho.

Honda and S2k specialist in Aliso = $1400 + $100 (resurfacing), 2day job.
He told me he needs to charge more than usual, because he loses money from not being able to mark-up the prices of the parts I bought.
I've talked to him in the past too about random services years ago. And, I'm always kinda turned-off by his tone and attitude. Kinda sounds like he thinks he deserves premium prices (Honda dealership prices or higher) for his labor and parts. He always sounds likes he hates customers buying their own parts. Bad feeling in my gut from both talks, past and present. I’m sure he does excellent work; but, I bought an S2k because it’s a Honda …and not a BMW, Merc, Porsche, Audi, etc., lol.

Another Honda specialist in Fabricante Mission Viejo = Waiting for call-back.

An S2ki member's shop I've been PMing with = $600
Sounds like a great place... but, very far from me to drop off car.

Car is back. Feels good. That was expensive. They did do a piss poor job on the alignment. Steering wheel is just ever so slightly tilted to the left and the car feels unpredictable the faster you go. It does rotate a lot better in the turns which is nice. I have new rear toe arms on the way as the ones currently on the car are questionable at best.
