Clutch Fork Assembly Broken?
Well, first off sorry for taking such a long time to post the update, but "things" came up and I just recently finished working on the car.
It turns out, the problem was the cheap aftermarket starter that I had recently installed in my car. The original starter had a problem where the bendix was stuck in the "on" position and wouldn't stop turning. It almost caught on fire, but I was able to disconnect the battery before it go any worse. Anyway, I put in an aftermarket replacement and not too long after I heard some "metallic" noises coming from the transmission bell housing. After removing boot over the shift fork, some bits of metal fell out. I thought it was a broken clutch fork, but after finally taking the transmission out, I discovered that it was the starter. The housing around the bendix just broke off and fell into the bell housing. It actually managed to lodge itself in the clutch fork, which of course prevented the clutch pedal from being depressed.
Now, I never dropped this starter, but who's to say it was dropped before, or it was just a case of a bad casting. Anyway, it's now got a rebuilt factory starter, and an ACT HS1-HDSS clutch/pp combo and it's finally running again.

It's cool to see that it turned out to be a rather simple thing. F*** reman starters man, I got a 90 Corolla and that thing has gone through 4 reman starters in one month. I got a new "oem" rebuild starters, and the problems went away. Good lesson here. Thanks for the update.
