Default Clutch issue?

About month or two ago my clutch went. I had it replaced by my mechanic. At first it drove excellent (since I was used to a poor clutch) then I noticed the pedal felt like it was sticking to the floor. After doing research and reading a bunch of threads, I figured I'd ask the mechanic if he bled the clutch. He didn't, which was wonderful news. So the clutch was bled and the hydrolics were cleaned. Still similar problem. Now it doesn't feel as sticky; it's fine when I drive the car the first time of the day, then after driving it it gets a little sticky and pretty stiff. My friend and I took off the slave cyl and felt that the cup thing and the fork were very dry, we threw some grease on it but probably not the right kind... Anyway I plan on buying the honda high temp grease and re-doing it this week. But could this be anything else? The mechanic said maybe the pressure plate but doesn't want to do anything about it ... I've put about 1k miles on the new clutch and have been pretty easy on it. Any other ideas? Should I shit bricks yet?

Also every now and then, when I put the car in first immediately after starting the car, it will buck feeling like I'm randomly stomping on the clutch or gas.

sounds like your master cyl is on the way out. check for leaks under the dash to the piston/plunger thing attached to your clutch pedal. while youre at it, change the slave cyl as well unless your mechanic already did that. Also check to see if the guy adjusted your clutch master in the first place after changing the clutch - if he didnt, and someone earlier did adjust it to make up for the clutch wear, the master might not be opening the slave cyl enough to totally disengage the clutch.

Ok thanks. I'll definitely look into that. Anybody else have any other ideas?

Good point dude. Yeah when I do get on it I stomp it because its usually stiff, but it disengages pretty easy, I guess like normal. It's so weird. Keep me posted.

Also it feels like the clutch engages high when shifting gears. From stopped into first gear feels normal but when I ease my foot off the clutch while shifting in the upper gears it feels like it should engage much lower. Could anything in the hydraulics that needs to be adjusted?
