Question Clutch Fork, or Slave cylinder? PICS! help :|

So right now I just got done doing my clutch. We had the transmission almost on and I put the fork in threw the outside and got it in there. well the transmission and back up and I attached the slave cylinder and my pedal is soft..

I look at where the fork was and it looks like it see suppose to be farther back? When i put the slave cylinder on it, I don't even need to compress it to get it in there >,<! The problem is it is at it's max so the fork must not be positioned correctly?

I can have the rod come out any further so something is screwed up here are the pics.

This is where the fork is.

If you can see the holes to bolt it on align perfectly but I didn't need to compress it to make it fit.. lame..

Again it is lined up and i didn't have to compress it. The slave cylinder is at max like taking it off and not compressing it, what did I do wrong?

Remove your slave and pull the fork outwards, push it back in making short the end of the fork is engaged in the slot on the thrust bearing.

It looks like you missed the slow when pushing it back in.

Ypu got that figured out but now the problem is that the clutch pedal is soft, and I may need to bleed the lien. When i tired all the fluid from the reservoir just left it, maybe having the car level will fix that.

I bled the line, but still the weird thing is, it is soft until about 2 inches of travel left and then I can push it sort of?
