Default clutch/ gear problems

Hey guys

I have a 2002 honda s2k ap1
so i just got my clutch done about 4000 miles ago and everything was smooth sailing. i would say that one day i noticed that my clutch engagement point was a lot deeper than it used to be but i didnt think anything of it since i dont drive my s2k as a daily i thought it was something that i didnt notice before. after driving it for about a week, i started having trouble putting my car into gear. 1st gear and reverse would be nearly impossible unless i pump my clutch a couple times.

then one night after work it was IMPOSSIBLE to get it into reverse i rolled out my parking spot and pumped my clutch to BARELY get it into first. after driving it and shifting a couple times it would go into 2 3 4 5 6 pretty smoothly.

anyways, i have been an s2k owner for the last almost 3 years but since i was in school i didnt really get to drive it for the last 2 years and am no expert of my car.

any input would be great!

Chances are your clutch master cylinder is going out. Its not allowing your clutch to fully disengage so you are having trouble getting it into gear.

Just order a new clutch master cylinder. You can get them from advanced auto for 80 bucks if you google for a coupon first. Just replace and bleed. Once bled you will probably have to adjust the travel on the clutch pedal. There are tons of DIYs for all this stuff on this forum. Just search for them when your ready to do the work.

I think since your car sat alot over the past 3 years your seals might have dried out and when you went to drive it again they fell apart.
