Default clutch help please!

Within a few weeks I'm changing out my synchros my mechanic says it's worth changing my clutch while he's in there so I'm currently in process of finding out which is the best. I've seen a lot of reviews on act saying it's the best, just wondering if the xtd kits are any good. Overall just need any input, it would be greatly appreciated my dad isn't much of a car person so I'm all alone in this process .

Can't go wrong with OEM, not OE replacement, actual OEM from the factory type. In fact that's what I did, and I'm a cheap bastard. Best move I made reliability wise with this car I think. The only thing you don't need to do OEM is the flywheel, just stay away from aluminum ones.

If you are staying NA, buy real OEM Honda parts. No Exedy OE replacement stuff. Majestic Honda or any of the other vendors that sell genuine Honda parts.

Is replacement of the flywheel necessary when replacing the clutch?

Most of the time a resurface is all that's needed. If you're AP2, there is the benefit of changing to the lower weighted AP1 flywheel
