Default Clutch Installation

Can anyone give me any tips on what i should use to raise the car as high as possible? I was looking in the forums for DIY with pictures of the car lifted, but couldn't find anything.

Regular hydraulic jack to get it on stands, then a hydraulic truck jack to take it higher. Worked great for me. Be careful taking it down though, do it in the same stages.

I used a regular racing jack w/ two 2x4's to get the car high up, and four 2 ton jack stands from harbor freight. Lifted the front first, then the rear, then back to the front to get a few more clicks on the stands.

the wooden blocks are use on top of the jack when you jack the car up so it will rise higher than normal. you can get the wooden blocks from home depot but it comes in a long piece which you will have to cut it into blocks. Usually 2 blocks is enough.

since we're on the topic of clutch installations, does anyone have a trick of tip on how to remove the knock sensor? im stuck at removing my upper starter bolt because i am afraid i will break this very fragile part which also happens to be pretty pricey for such a simple piece.

I use these all the time. chances are the sensor will break when you unplug it. those things get brittle and break if you look at em funny.

you can get to it from under the car pretty easily. I think they use a 24mm socket. either 24 or 26 i cant remember right off hand.
