Clutch Issues
Hi Guys,
My S2000 has now covered just under 68k and has as far as I am aware the original clutch.
I'm struggling with a clutch pedal which is pretty much at the top now and on engagement sometimes you can feel a slight judder. The clutch feels like a switch now in as much as its on or off and feels grabby. It isn't slipping however and I can "drive around" the issue.
you can hear the thrust bearing is noisy when the clutch isn't engaged in neutral.
One additional issue is when moving at low speed usually in reverse into the garage which is echoes, you can hear a metallic clacking noise when depressing the clutch from engagement and it can be infinitely repeated when bring the clutch in and out of bite when moving slowly.
I have changed, a while ago, the master cylinder and checked the adjustment of the rod which is fine and with acceptable free play as per the book, I have bled the clutch too using the recommended method with ATE super blue.
I think the clutch is probably worn, any steerage on the issue would be appreciated, my fix would be to change the clutch, resurface the flywheel change the flywheel bearing and change the release fork for completeness whilst everything is off.
Ryan.
