Default Clutch master or slave cylinder?

The car is a 2002 and the clutch was replaced about three years ago. Now I have a strange clutch problem that seems to be hydraulic in nature. I need to pump it a few times to get the proper operation range, otherwise it starts to grab right off the floor and has a lot of play at the top of the range. The first time this happened I went under the car and tried manipulating the TOB lever with a pry bar to see if something was stuck (i.e., not returning). After I did this, the clutch felt ok. But the next weekend, the pedal was soft at the top again. I find no leak and the reservoir is full. I changed the fluid and bled it out about a year ago. I plan to do that again, but I doubt that the fluid or air in the line is the problem. I think I have a problem in one of the two cylinders. Have any of you had this problem in the past? If so, what did you find?

Check the master cylinder for leaks inside the cabin. This is where mine was leaking and is apparently the major leak point in the clutch hydraulics.

That's the trouble. I see no leaks.

How many miles? Clutch slave cylinder might be bad.

Mine has 119k miles and I looked under the dash and saw a lot of "grease" at the end of the CMS. Is it time for a new one?
