Default Clutch...or not?

So I started driving my car again after I let it sit for 6 weeks because about 9 weeks ago (3 weeks before I let it sit for 6 weeks) it was slipping really really bad...

It started slipping just when I went into vtec...then by the time I stopped driving it ...it was slippin in every gear whenever I woudl even accelerate moderately fast..

So I started driving it again a couple days ago..and I even took it into vtec and no slipping..I even downshifted then hit it..no slipping...I ordered a clutch in the meantime as I stopped driving the car because I needed to save up for it...

Any suggestions?? It must be my clutch I would think?!?
The only sign of it now is first gear is still a bit rough to start out in..

Your suggestions are appreciated as always..

Kyle

Of equal and perhaps of more importance is "When was the clutch fluid changed last?"
Considering the mileage, you are probably due for a new clutch. Further "testing" may be required to make a final determination.

would it make the clutch slipped..on my way out to class (in class right now) I took it all the way through the rpm's in 2nd..then went to third...hitting the gas hard..and it finally did slip haha (knock on wood)

Kyle

Check out all the FAQs at the top of this forum. There is a "How To" on doing the clutch fluid change and a clutch job, along with almost everything else you might need to know about S2000 maintenance.
An old or heavily worn clutch will generally slip much more once it gets hot.

the fluid won't be the problem as the clutch pedal work is working properly.
i would suspect the pressure plate.
how's the clutch pedal free play? how does it feel?
bring the car in for transmission components inspection.

How do you know this? He hasn't said anything about how his pedal works or if it's even within normal specs.

With a clutch that over-disengages, he won't, but this doesn't mean his clutch pedal movement is correct and one of the symptoms of this can be fluid. Before checking and adjusting for pedal travel, free play and friction point, one should always ensure that the fluid is good.
An "over-disengaging" clutch can also be one that will slip, especially once the clutch gets hot. Due to excessive water content in an older fluid, this slippage may not happen when the clutch and fluid is cold.
