Default clutch not disengaging?

this problem happens maybe every other day, and never on the day a mechanic looks at it of course: sometimes, more often when its cold, i will push down the clutch pedal, then try to pull out of whatever gear, but it resists it. Its pretty much the same resistance you get when you pull out of a gear without depressing the clutch. it resists more than usual, but once i get it out of gear it opens up and i can go into the next gear just fine, its always fine going into the gear its pulling out where it fights me. sometimes this will happen once or twice in the morning, sometimes it will go on for a good hour or more. p.s. my clutch pedal itself never sticks. im at 62,000 miles, im thinking of just replacing my clutch anyways, if someone could just link me to all of what i need on hardtopguy that would be sweet.

all you need to get is the act pressure place. hardtopguy will still use the oem disc and oem flywheel. im assuming its just your disc still sticking to the flywheel, i had the same problem on my clutch, i had 125k on the clutch the disc was sticking.

that problem should go away with the new clutch.

sorry i thought you were asking for the setup that hardtopguy has. the setup that is more preferred is the oem disc and flywheel with the act pressure plate, its just a stronger setup.

if you want to replace strictly all oem and your car is bone stock, that is fine, u can still get the oem pressure plate. since you already have it open check to see if the disc needs to be replaced. with 62k on the clutch i would replace the disc. then check to see if you can resurface the flywheel. the pressure plate is up to you. u can keep the stocker or get the act for a stronger clutch.

Hey guys,

I think I'm having the same problem as omgitsoop, but with a little different issue. Like when I go into second gear it feels like I'm rubbing against something and it the car feels like it doesn't really want to pick up. So, I've decided to change out the plate, clutch and disc. What would be a better purchase? Spoon or ACT or if you have anyother suggestion that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

So, I wouldn't need a new release bearing or anything else? If it's just the pressure plate, great! I can save a ton of money... =)

So which ACT plate should I get that comes close to the feel of my stock clutch and can someone PM me a website i can find a pressure plate? I've looked in Modacar and they sell the whole package I think. It cost around $539.00 with ACT Clutch Organic street disc and heavy duty pressure plate.
