Default Clutch Problem

Hey guys, last night my clutch/pedal started acting up. The car has 63k miles and dont know if the previous owner ever changed the clutch but it should be changed in the next couple of thousant miles. When i bought the car, there was a small gap on the pedal where once you press it nothing happens and then the clutch feel comes out. Last night as i drove back home from work, this gap started increasing rapidly. The gap increased to about 60-70% of nothing and than the clutch kicks in... It was a cold night for the first time in forever here in AZ so dont know if that has to do anything with the problem. Dont know wtf is going on so if anybody has any ideas or suggestions would much appreciate it!!

isn't there something in the owner's manual about adjusting the pedals? maybe it's just a simple tightening up of a bolt/nut or something...

Have you checked your fluid level in the clutch master cylinder?
Maybe it needs to be bled.
I know I checked out the fluid recently and it was really dark, and had a lot of residue in the system, so I had it completely flushed and now it works a lot better.

also take a flash light and look inside your car where the clutch attaches into the firewall and see if any brake/clutch fluid is starting to come through. not just grease but actual fluid, if so it might be time for a new master cylinder

Thx for the replies people, but i solved the problem by bleeding the clutch. There was a LOT of air in the lines and the oil was wayyy black and dirty, but changed the oil out and it is
