Default clutch problem

Hey, so my clutch has been acting up. The catch point is so low to the floor that the car jerks (like you are about to stall) while releasing the pedal not even an inch off the floor. I recently adjusted my clutch rod a week before that and got rid of any slack so I know it's not that. And when coming to a stop with the clutch in all the way, it feels like it's going to stall.

With the engine on the pedal feels very mushy for the first half then gets stiff. When the pedal is in all the way, I hear a whining sound like metal scraping on a spinning metal disk. With the engine off the clutch feels normal.

I replaced the fluid twice, also replaced the slave cylinder and nothing changed. The first time I replaced the fluid there were some bubbles, that's what led me to believe it was the slave cylinder.

I'm thinking it's the release fork because when I was under the transmission with the fork boot off, I had someone push in the clutch and the sound was coming right from the clutch. Do you think my release fork is going out? But then again there was air in the fluid so could it be the master cylinder and the release fork? or is it the clutch disk and/or pressure plate?

Also sometimes it won't go into any gear (when stopped and driving) and grinds when I try to shift.

I had the same issue a few months back and i couldn't figure it out for anything. So I took it to the dealership and it ended up being my master and slave cylinder that had to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I'll try replacing the master cylinder this week to see if that works.

Make sure you don't take out all the play. Try a bleed of the clutch

Yeah I left the master cylinder play. Just removed the excess play. Bled it 3 times so far, nothing new... Planning on changing my master cylinder next week when I have the time.

it sucks, it appears alot of times the clutch is the one fluid that is often neglected to be changed on many cars until a problem arises from it.
