Clutch question
Hello S2K owners,
I have a 2005 that has 141K on it. It has driven beautifully until this morning when I started it up. I noticed that the clutch did not have its usual smooth engagement, but rather felt like the "air had been let out" of the clutch pedal until it got down to the very bottom. It then felt like it engaged, but only over a very small range, again with the rest of the engagement range feeling "empty." It is now being difficult going into reverse also. What might be the most likely problem? Am I low on a fluid that needs to be topped off, or it is a more problematic fix? sure owners have seen this before, and I could sure use some help with it.
Thanks!

Step 1 is to look at the fluid level.
If its low...you have a leak somewhere. Relatively easy fix.
If its not low...you might have broken a clutch spring or have another failed internal component. Is the clutch OEM Honda?
Or there may be an internally leaking slave or master cylinder. Meaning a seal is bad, but its not leaking fluid externally.

Brake fluid is very harsh on rubber and paint.
Brake fluid is very bad for paint. But, ok for most rubber parts. Ppl actually used to treat rubber things (like tires) with brake fluid, before the days of Armor All.
