I burned through an OEM clutch in 25,000 miles so I upgraded to an ACT clutch.

AP1 flywheel
ACT HD pressure plate
OEM clutch disc
AP1 clutch cylinder or remove the CDV from the AP2 cylinder

Should hold up to 350torque.

@vooper I like what you stated about your set up, That is something I am interested in having. Is your set up for NA or forced induction? And anyone have a SS clutch line? How does it improve engagement?

Estook, you're astute in noting that it is more of a multi-part setup rather than a single component change. The one I mentioned will easily hold a small turbo or most superchargers. I'm running NA.

It's tried and true. Multiple threads document various members' experiences on this combo (including some who make a living working on S2000s). The concept of the change starts with AP2s that have the CDV. However, slight clutch slip was still noticed when the CDV was removed. This was attributed to the heavier flywheel on the AP2s. Many have changed to an AP1 flywheel (14lbs vs the 22lbs AP2 flywheel) or an even lighter aftermarket flywheel. This helps match up the flywheel to the CDV. This leaves the pressure plate. Upgrading slightly to something like an ACT HD adds only minimal stiffness to the clutch pedal and increases the capacity to hold more torque (by about an additional 40% -- as per the ACT website). This leaves the disc. I like the OEM feel, lack of noise, and the engagement. I don't see any point in changing the disc unless someone is unhappy with these characteristics.
