Default Clutch is stiff/sticky

Hi all. I've had my car for about 5 months now (52k miles 06 model), and up until a couple days ago, everything was going swimmingly. Everything was perfect, but after I had hit VTEC up to 3rd gear, and parked my car for the night, the following morning, the clutch was initially harder to push in, but only about the first 2 inches. Other than that, it is smooth sailing. Now fast forward until today, I attempted to just drive it normally. Now it was even harder to push in the clutch, like someone spilled soda, or juice on the clutch itself. Again, it was easy after the first couple of times of pushing in the clutch, but it is even more stiff/sticky in the initial push of the clutch than the first day. At first it only did this when I was in higher gears, or just starting the car.

Occasionally, when I switch gears, and push the pedal too much, the rpm's shoot up, but it doesn't actually go into gear until I release the pedal. After that,it works out fine, and drives like a regular car. It's similar to a burnout I guess.

I read somewhere that I needed to re-grease my clutch master cylinder, and that feeling is the clutch is rubbing on solid metal and that's why it isn't smooth. Any input?

Thank you for this write up. I really hope it is something as simple as this.
