Replacing my spark plugs today, and the connectors snapped. Order the replacement clips, but is there anything I can do temporary (zip ties?) or just refrain from driving too aggressive until I replace the clips?

Cheers,
Alex

All the clips on my fuel injectors are broken, the clip on cylinder #4 coil pack is broken as are the clips for both cam angle sensors. Never had a problem driving around with broken clips. If you're really worried until you get new clips rubber band them on.

Update: Haven't had any misfires, but since the new clips arrived a while back, I might as well replace them... Just in time before Laguna next weekend!

Just did this last week. Two of my connectors broken and I had zip-tied them. Really straightforward, the old connectors just broke apart and the new ones clicked in.

Be careful not leave the spark plug holes open as the broken plastic bits go everywhere.

I recently replaced my spark plugs on my 85K 2005 and pulled out the Denso plugs, are Denso plugs original on this car? Anyways all clips broke mainly because I also wanted to adjust the valves and needed the engine cold to properly adjust the valves. Ordered the new clips but I also have problems with wire looms shattering and now can see some wires exposed. Do we have any recommendations on wire looms we can use to protect the wires? Was thinking of just using self sealing silicone tape, but not sure if they will protect the wires from heat.
