has anyone ever had this problem, my car started to misfire on the freeway, and my check engine light was blinking meaning misfire... So I slowed down due to traffic trying to make it to the nearest stop, when my throttle just gave .. So here I am stuck on the freeway, my friend, a mechanic comes out we take off the coil cover, and take off the coils, all but one which is pretty tough to get off, when it does come off the whole coil comes spilling out. and I got the whole coil out, and the spark plug was melted inside.

 

Was it the number 4 cylinder where the bad coil was?

 

Melted spark plugs, eh? That's usually not a good thing.

Check your fuel pump fuse. I had a situation where the fuse blew out causing the fourth coil pack to overheat. I caught it before it did any serious damage.

 

I will check that fuse... kinda sucks. It was number 2 that went bad..
