Default Compression Limitations

I'm an NA junkie. I used to be all about FI, but tastes change as does everything. Now, given that i live in an absurdly hot climate (las vegas) and I'm limited to 91 octane. What is the highest (read: safest) compression I could get away with?

I'm not an idiot, I'm not trying to get away with 13:1 or anything, but does 12:1 or something like 11:7 sound reasonable. The last thing I want is detonation you know?

any help is appreciated.

I think 12:1 on 93 should be possible with a well tuned ECU. At the same time I myself wouldn't go more than 11.5:1 on a street car.
