Default Compression question.

Looking to pick up a 2001 s2k car has 64k on it and has a intake-test pipe- and exhaust done . The seller did a compression test and these are the numbers that came up. "1.)210 2.) 215 3.)210 4.)looked like 217 ish all in all very consistent I would say" (text from seller). Now I know the s2k should have 240psi across the board but I figure since it is a 12 year old car it would be lower: do these number look good still?

Thanks

Those numbers are good. The point of a compression test is to see if the engine is putting out consistent numbers, NOT higher numbers.

I wouldnt trust the seller to give me some compression numbers. He could just throw out random numbers that seem consistent. I rather be there when he does the compression test so i can see the numbers for myself.

Those would be some random ass numbers to come up with...I trust him. Plus he said I could do the test personally when I arrive to pick up the vehicle.

Compression testers are notoriously inaccurate, that is why you are supposed to just benchmark the cylinders of eachother, not their absolute numbers. Try another gauge on your time.
