I actually just realized I forgot to do that this time as well. But the numbers I posted were without the throttle opened so those still seem low but worth a shot checking again if you want.

Numbers do seem a bit low. Did mine today on warm engine. I have 228K on it and recently been sc'd.
I got:
224
223
223
224

The biggest concern with a compression test is consistency though.
You want to make sure no cylinders are more than 10 psi difference really.
Wow! 228k miles and still running strong... That is awesome.

Ok well check this... I ran it again and got 200 - 205 across the cylinders. Minor improvement. I did the "tablespoon of oil on the cylinder" trick on the first cylinder and got 240!

I read that this means my O-rings are leaking causing blow-by. If it was the cylinders that were damaged, then the tablespoon of oil wouldn't have worked right?

So to repair this requires an engine rebuild to replace the O-rings? One guy recommended I put "Restore" in my oil and it might help restore my O-rings?

Has anyone tried this?

Since my numbers are pretty much the same across the board, do you guys think this is ok?

Yeah i think it is ok. Will just be a slightly lower compression engine. When 1 cylinder is waay off then you know you got another issue going on with that one cylinder. Like a scored wall or bad gasket etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Ok, I'll just accept that my engine won't be at 100% unless I rebuild it.

Thanks for everyone's answers.

I wouldnt worry about ur numbers. As long as it doesnt smoke or burn oil dont rebuild it just yet.
