Comptech Fuel Pressure Regulator Question
Under the Hood Gods,
I tried a search but couldn't find anything on it. Maybe it is common sense but would the Vortech FMU work with the Comptech SC in place of the Fuel Pressure Regulator? Would there be any advantages to using it instead of the FPR other than price? Comptech wants $280 for it. In a Comptech e-mail they said it "should" work but said they have not heard of anyone doing that.
Anyone have any insights?

Both FMU are adjustable.
The comptech is easier to adjust with a knob....??? riskier if the knob is loose....your call
The Vortech is adjustable but you will need to purchase a metal disc from vortech to do that ie open up the FMU and replace the old disc with the new one. They claim it's safer......but obviously costly if you want to change the regulation rate often.
Here is a pic of the Vortech regulator
Just check both websites for the SC installation and you can see if they are the same or not. I would imagine they are very similar and interchangeable provided that you tune your car after installation.
