comptech reinforced differential housing needed?

Default comptech reinforced differential housing needed?

im going to order the 4.56 gears and im wondering if its worth getting the housing as well, i dont dump the clutch on my car or do burnouts of anything like that, im just wondering if i need this product or if its a waste of $$? thanks.

Considering people have broken stock housings at stock power levels, it's not a bad idea. It's most cost effective to install the new gears in the new housing because it's the same amount of work as setting up the gear.

IMO yes, because people can break the diff without ever even doing a clutch dump. honestly, properly done clutch dumps do not cause the bearing caps to flex. it's all about load.
