The body dia. is 2.600mm
The major dia. is 2.903mm
The minor diameter is 2.301mm
The thread pitch is .5 (2 threads/mm)
The thread engagement length is 4.199mm
Overall length not including the head is 4.651mm
Overall length with the head is 6.604 mm
The optical comparator I used is extremely accurate.
good luck

What size are they?
My guess would be M3.
Those other metric sizes that were mentioned do exist, but are rarely used.

Reading the post above makes me feel that is true.
M3 pitch = 0.5 mm.

edit : M3 pitch

So that makes them M2.6x.5? What is the definition of "body diameter"?

Look here:
http://www.tribologie.nl/calculators/metric-iso.htm

It's M3 by pitch.
Pitch = spoed (in Dutch language)
And it should have a 60 degree top angle.

So... anyone know where I can get M3-0.5 x 5 or 6mm threads that doesn't involve buying 100 of them?

M2.6 is available in both 0.45 and 0.5 pitch. The detailed measurements sure sound more like M2.6 to me.

The major dia. is 2.903mm
That suggests M3 IMO.
The major diameter of M2.6 can't be 2.9 mm

And I've looked online and could not find M2.6 with a pitch of 0.5mm.
I'm assuming that it would be available overhere in Metric Country
Small list:
Standard pitch
M2.2 - 0.45mm.
M2.3 - 0.40mm.
M2.5 - 0.45mm.
M2.6 - 0.45mm.
M3 - 0.50mm.

Fine pitch
M2.5 - 0.35mm.
M2.6 - 0.35mm.
M3 - 0.35mm.

I posted a link.

I don't know if it's M3 or M2.6, but the pitch is not enough to determine that. And the fact that the body diameter is exactly 2.6mm makes me suspicious.

M3 is a more common size, though.
